Recognised as the number one tennis player in the world, Serena Williams is entering the beauty business with the launch of her own exclusive collection of lacquers designed by OPI. Training to become a nail technican and a self confessed dedicated user of OPI, Serena Williams recently announced her desire to open her own chain of nail salons in America. Commenting on her winning collaboration with OPI, Serena Williams states, “Everyone knows that I’ve always loved fashion and design, but they might not know that I’m manic about my nails that’s why I’m super excited to partner with OPI to create my ‘Glam Slam Collection by OPI’ and on top of that, I am well on my way to receiving my nail technician license. Working with OPI is really a dream come true.” Beginning with the Australian Open, the first of 4 shades released is Simply Smashing, a glowing green colour.

Get your sword and parrot ready for some swashbuckling style with the creation of OPI’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides inspired nail lacquers featuring six limited edition cool pastel lacquer shades. OPI’s The Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides lacquers were inspired by a world filled with mythical mermaids, gleaming treasure, and high-seas adventure, with shades ranging from sage and lavender to khaki gray and pastel pink, evocative colours within a tropical setting, with a classic nautical influence.

A new sheriff is riding into town with the release of OPI’s new Texas Collection. The Texas Collection by OPI offers a fresh new approach of effortlessly chic involving bright bold tones and classic neutrals. Inspired by the fashion trends on the runway; where white is the new black and brightly coloured botanical prints, relaxed trousers and jackets, fuller and longer skirts have become the new fashion genre. Next seasons fashion will feature neutral tones of white, ivory, cream and taupe with the focus being all about the texture, from glossy crèmes to sparkly flecks. Rural girls and city slickers will all be making fashion statement in these new whip cracking shades of rich green, teal, peach, berry, honey, tangerine to soft calming hues of lavender grey, violet and pale sky blue violet.

The revolutionary new Black Shatter, is a top coat formula that transforms as it dries on your nails. When applied, OPI’s Black Shatter begins to shatter and disappear, leaving behind a shattered effect in matte within minutes of it being applied onto an OPI lacquer shade. OPI’s Black Shatter Top Coat, offers a new dimension to nail design, the cracked pattern effect, similar to a leopard print, offers another form of fashion statement in nails.

OPI created some waves with their new earth shattering Silver Shatter top coat. Following on from the success of OPI’s Black Shatter top coat, the new Silver Shatter was inspired by graffiti artist and is destined to set a new trend in nail art application.
